Studio Shelter presents:
The Revival

Immerse yourself in an extraordinary audiovisual show presented by Fisherman & Husman and experience how the Historical Monument Kasteel De Keverberg comes to life.

When the first lockdown was over, we started thinking about taking the Studio Shelter experience into the real world: an event.
We found two artists who loved to work together with our project: Fisherman and Husman. We already knew them from livesets they streamed in our Studio.

We built an eventbrand called: ‘The Revival‘, which was about the reawakening of the festivalscene. The show consisted of three timecodeshows with dj livesets inbetween those shows.

How did The Revival come to life?

For this project I have been heavily involved with creating the concept and branding.

Story

We wanted to express the emotions that everyone felt during the pandemic. Our goal was to spread love and hope for the future, while watching an overhelming audiovisual show. The name: “The Revival“ fitted this vision perfectly.

We also had a storyline to tell because of the history of the castle. So we dug into the tales of “Baron Frits", the most famous resident of the castle.

We found a way to combine the history of the castle with the feeling we wanted to create. And to top it off we let Baron Frits come to live as our narrator of the story.

Production/show

My contribution to the show was creating the rough structure of the show and main story line. Based off this structure the script was written.

After the script was finalized, I translated it to visual cues for light, laser and video. in dialogue with the team.

Lastly my biggest task was creating the visuals for the videomapping, which consisted of three timecode shows.

My main task on the day of the event was operating (veejaying) the videomapping.
